Fake vs. Real

Why go for the fake version when you can have the real thing?
Art, purses, clothes, jewelry, you name it, you can find a generic or copied version of anything we determine to have value or significance. If one little detail is changed, from afar, the untrained eye cannot tell if the diamond is real or the jeans are from a box store or 5th Avenue.
Ironically, as I type, I am sitting in an art studio/coffee shop where one can watch creations and expressions of emotion and experience come to life while sipping their favorite beverage. As passerby’s gaze and peer at the colors and strokes of brilliance I wonder what they are thinking. I wonder what the artist is thinking as their passion and actualizations of life are studied and scrutinized. I also consider, does God wonder this too?
God, our Creator, from His first command of light to creating man in His image was authentic, intentional, and with purpose (Genesis 1:3, 26-27). This same God was very clear when He said, “You shall have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).
So why do we?
Why do we put something generic in place of the real thing? We have direct access to our own creator. His brushstrokes made us and all we see around us because He wanted us to love Him.
Admire the art. Honor His creation. Be kind to someone. Even better, tell someone about Him. If you need encouragement or want to learn more, reach out. Visit janisjakino.com or send me a message at contact@janisjakino.com. I’d love to talk more about authenticity and the Word of God.
Blessings,
